Many of us know the difficulties of being a parent. Day after day we worry if we are raising our kids right, if we are teaching them how to be responsible, Godly adults and if we are doing all we can to protect them from the outside world. To say the least, it is a constant struggle and balancing act.
The current status quo is parents vs. the federally funded public education system and the corrupt politicians in the district of corruption. The absolute lunacy of a parent protecting the well-being, both mental and physical, of their children, being labeled a “domestic terrorist” by the selected president of the “united” States and the DOJ is absurd!
The U.S. Department of Justice, headed by Attorney General Merrick Garland, sent out a press release on October 4 announcing that the DOJ will create a “task force consisting of representatives from the department’s Criminal Division, National Security Division, Civil Rights Division, the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, the FBI, the Community Relations Service and the Office of Justice Programs to determine how federal enforcement tools can be used to prosecute these crimes.”
The question is, why are parents so upset?
Unless you don’t watch television, listen to the radio, nor read a newspaper, you have certainly heard of CRT, critical race theory. CRT has been taught in Florida schools, either through the history books written and published by Northerner’s or through a teacher’s own political position. If we are being honest with ourselves, most teachers in the public school system are leftists/demoncrat which leads to the question; Why would a majority red State such as Florida continue to send our posterity off to be indoctrinated by individuals that do not share our ideologies or traditions?
Then there’s the mask mandate situation. The people of Florida spoke when we elected Governor DeSantis. He speaks for the majority of Florida and he does it well. Governor DeSantis has ended and made illegal any mask mandate in the public school system. Our Governor has been very clear that it is up to the parent if they do or do not want their children wearing masks, it is not up to the school boards, nor the teachers … and for that matter it is not up to the president of this so called “union” or his lackies.
There is a wake-up call happening across our State, largely due to the divisive fight over mask mandates and CRT. Florida mom, Mrs. Quisha King stood, mic in hand, at the Pray Vote Stand Summit on 7 October 2021 and called for a “mass exodus” from the public school system. Parents are realizing that free babysitting may not be worth the damage done to our children. Concerned parents are voicing their opinions moreso now than ever, and for that, they are being labeled domestic terrorists.
What’s the solution that will protect our children? It’s an easier and more sensible solution than the masses believe.
The most current 2018-2019 Department of Education Home Education Report released in 2020 indicates that there was an 8.3% increase in home education in the State of Florida, equating to 97,261 students being home-schooled. The top five counties taking their children’s future into their own hands are: Duval, Hillsborough, Orange, Palm Beach, and Broward. During this same 2018-2019 time-frame, The Annie E. Casey Foundation reports that there were 2,846,857 participating in public school education. Students enrolled in home education, in the State of Florida is a mere 3.4%.. Almost 97% of our children in Florida are being subjected to outside influences. Religion, sexuality, political beliefs … you name it and it is being crammed down your children’s throats even at the elementary level.
The solution is simple …. Remove your children from the chaos of public schools; home-school your children. Teach them your family’s traditions and values; allow them the calm atmosphere of your home lessons. Not only will you be able to have an active role in their teachings but it also allows you to spend time with them, see where or if they are struggling and focus on their needs. The homeschooling atmosphere is very flexible. It can be done at any time of the day or night; it can be worked around your employment hours.
In most every county in the State of Florida you will find home-school groups that meet up for group activities. In counties such as Columbia County, they have groups that meet every day and parents support one another through their journeys. One of the benefits of schooling at home is you can take that time and teach your children how to cook, how to shoot a gun, skin your dinner, grow a garden, farm, teach them the Word of God … the possibilities are endless. The question remains … Are your children worth your attention? If so, homeschool them. Take the influence away from the federal government and give peace and stability to your children.
